About Us
BAC Calculator is one free BAC calculator and a set of guides on blood alcohol, standard drinks and drink driving limits. The calculator turns four inputs into a BAC estimate: the body type used by the formula, body weight, each drink, and the hours since drinking began.
Who publishes the site
The site is published by the BAC Calculator team, an independent publisher. Pages carry the team name, not a person's name, and no page names a doctor, lawyer or other reviewer.
How pages are made
Pages are made from primary sources and one shared fact sheet, then checked line by line against those sources.
- Facts come from primary sources: government health and road agencies, statutes and peer-reviewed studies.
- One shared fact sheet holds every number the pages use, so two pages never give different figures for the same fact.
- Every guide, and the calculator page, is checked against its sources before it goes live.
- The drink tables on four pages are recomputed by the calculator's own code, so a table and the calculator cannot disagree.
The full process is on the editorial policy page.
What the site does not do
The site gives no medical or legal advice. It makes no referrals to DUI lawyers or breathalyzer sellers, carries no affiliate links, and shows no ads in or near the calculator.
